Show Notes

Damon Gameau decided to try an experiment with sugar firsthand. He would spend 60 days on a high-sugar diet consuming 40 teaspoons of sugar a day - which is only marginally above the daily teenage average.

There would be a twist, however. Unlike the average teenager, he would only eat perceived ‘healthy’ foods – foods generally believed to be low in or free from sugar. That meant NO soft drink, chocolate, ice-cream or confectionary. His diet was filled withlow-fat yoghurts, cereals, muesli bars, juices and sports drinks: all of which are full of ‘hidden sugar’.

He was monitored by a team of doctors and scientist and he filmed the whole thing. This is not a film that insists people should quit sugar. This film is about bringing more awarenessa substance that now finds itself in around 80% of our processed foods. It's time to seriously question how it's affecting our bodies and the bodies of our children

Join me as I air my behind-the-scenes interview with Damon Gameau, the director and writer of this film "That Sugar Film." I HIGHLY suggest checking it out if you have children, if you are looking to lose weight or if you are like me and are concerned about all the "stuff" we are putting in our bodies without even realizing it!
